We believe God calls Southminster to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, to build a fellowship of Christian love, to create an environment that nurtures spritual growth, and to serve our diverse community and the world in the spirit of our Lord and Savior.
Christian education is important to us. We offer classes and programs for adults and a unique ungraded program for children through which older children get to practice what they are learning by working with younger children. No one gets lost in the crowd at Southminster.
Our parish area is one of the most dynamic in Cobb County and the whole region. Working alone and with others we address issues of homelessness, hunger, and poverty. A special emphasis this year is on service to and with the mentally ill through a program called NAMI (National Association for the Mentally Ill). We believe that faith should manifest itself in action.
